We mourn the death and celebrate the life of Mr. Gbolahan "Chris" Adenekan.

Gholahan "Chris" Adenekan was born January 23, 1963 in Lagos, Nigeria to Surakatu and Amope Adenekan.  Chris came to America in 1984 to attend the University of Louisiana.  He married Tamara Anderson and they shared many years together. She preceded him in death in 2006.

Chris worked in the flooring business most of his life, owned and operated All Season Tile Service for many years.  He was a kind, generous and loving, father, brother, uncle and grandfather who was devoted to his family and friends. He never met a stranger and never let anyone go hungry. Everyone always knew they could share a meal and watch football or basketball games at his house. 

Chris was preceded in death by his brother Adewunni Adenekan in 2003 and his father, Surakatu in 2007 and his mother, Amope in 2011. He is survived by his loving family; child, Christopher Anderson Adenekan of Houston, TX.; brothers, Rotimi Sunday Adenekan and wife Joyce of Cypress, TX, Bimbo Adenekan, Adeola Adenekan of Lagos, Nigeria; sisters, Busola Adenekan, Shade Obagade, Tutu Yusuf of London, England, Bisi Adenekan of Lagos, Nigeria, Nike Olaniyan of Dallas, TX, Bunmi Kikowo of Lagos, Nigeria and many more relatives from Atlanta, GA, New York, NY, Seattle, WA, San Angelo, TX, Austin, TX, Brookshire, TX, and several friends.
