Obituary

C.J. Dawson was born on November 26, 1950 to John Dawson and Roselyn Fulco Land in Shreveport, LA.
C.J. graduated from Fair Park High School in 1968 and then attended Technical School. C.J. worked in Shreveport, LA at Win Cup for 38 years and Genpak in Carthage, TX for 4 years. In his time at Win Cup C.J. worked many positions such as Production Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Acting Plant Manager. C.J. was a hard-working man who loved, supported, and lived for his family. He had a goofy sense of humor from dirty jokes to the occasional surprise full moon. He always had a gleam in his eye, a heartwarming smile and gave the best bear hugs.  He loved fishing, grilling, and spending time with his family. He was always very smart and could fix anything you put in front of him.  If he couldn't fix it, it was really broke.
C.J. is survived his survived by his wife Rebecca Aten Dawson of DeBerry, TX. C.J. and Rebecca married on March 31, 1990 and previously celebrated 35 years of marriage in March. He is also survived by his three children,
sons Shane and Richard Dawson of Prescott, AR,
daughter Crystal Dawson Martin of DeBerry, TX
daughter In Law Amanda Glass Dawson of Prescott, AR. Son In Law and Best buddy Taylor Martin of DeBerry, TX,
sisters Mary Land Iles and Christine Holt of Shreveport, LA
brothers In law Ray Holt of Shreveport, LA, Johnny Jernigan of Bethany, TX,
Best Friend of 40+yrs and brother Ray Rice of ShrWieveport, LA
Grandsons Arlen Dawson, River and Reyd Dawson of Prescott, AR,
Granddaughter Aleah Martin of DeBerry, TX.
As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews and an abundance of loved ones and friends.
My dad C.J. was proceeded in death by his father John Dawson of California and Roselyn Fulco Land of Bethany, TX
His Baby Sister Sharon Land Jernigan of Bethany, TX
Nephews Jeremy, Michael and Joseph Miciotto of Bethany, TX
Special thanks, forever grateful for those who helped our family in the last few years, to the wonderful people at Accent Care in Carthage  and Marshall Hospice the last few weeks of C.J.'s life.
Special thanks to Susan Russell of Accent Care for her unwavering care, love and support in C.J.'s battle with Parkinsons.
