Rev. Danny L Cloud, Sr
Danny Lee Cloud was born September 23, 1955, to Rosie Mae Hill and Doyle Cloud in Bellville, Texas. He departed this world on November 4th,2024, at 11:14 a.m., with family and friends at his bedside.
Danny confessed Christ at an early age. He was raised under the leadership and guidance of Rev. Peterson of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Brenham, Texas, and eventually became an ordained deacon.
Danny grew up in Brenham, Texas where he attended schools, Pickard and Brenham High School, Graduating class of 1974.
After graduating he enlisted in the Navy, serving 3 years.
After returning home he went on to further his education attending Blinn Junior College and Prairie View A&M.
He worked at Brenham State School and The Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 32 years of combined service.
In 1981 He married Angela Gilmore, of Brenham. After some time, they started their family and relocated to Huntsville, Texas. Here, they would live for over 10 years, joining Little Bethel Primitive Baptist Church under the Leadership of Pastor L.V. 'Pop' Bryant. In 1987 he received his license and was ordained as a minister.
Danny and his family returned home to Brenham in 1995, where he was called to Pastor Christian Faith Family Church with beloved family and friends.
He would relocate again to the Austin area where he served as an associate minister at Restoration Christian Ministries.
In 2016 he made New Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church his home under the Leadership of Darren Patterson. At NLMBC, Danny enjoyed serving as an associate minister, musician, and member of the 'Seasoned Saints', the Brotherhood, and the Outreach Ministry until he went to be with the Lord.
Danny is preceded in death by his Father Doyle Cloud, Mother Rosie Mae Hill, sister Gwendolyn Hill, and Brother Thomas Francis.
He leaves to cherish memories of him, his wife Angela Cloud, daughters Tanya Bryant and family of Tennessee, Kristin Cloud of Round Rock, Texas, and Kisha Cloud Burton (Terri Burton) of Brenham, TX. His sons, Danny L Cloud Jr, Bennie L Cloud, and Jaron Cloud, Sr. of Round Rock, TX and 10 grandchildren. His brother Anthony Cloud (Veronica Cloud) of Brenham, TX. Uncle, RB Harris, of California Father-in-law Norris Lockett, Austin TX.
Precious memories will live on in the hearts of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law, classmates, beloved church family, friends, and neighbors.
