Gene W. Strahan Jr, 61, a beloved figure of Vicenza, Italy, sadly left our world on 10 June 2025, after a life richly lived in service and kindness. Junior, (as he was called) was born on 7 December 1963.  Gene Jr was the third child of the late Gene Sr and Louise Strahan and was born in Chiron France.  Junior was a military brat growing up in Fayetteville, NC and later Mannheim Germany.  Junior joined the US Army at age 18 where he spent most of his life traveling around the world and overseas where he spent his latter years working for the Federal Government in Vicenza Italy.

Gene Jr was a beacon of light and hope in our community, touching lives through service and kindness.

He was preceded in death by his father Gene W. Strahan, Sr and sister Debra Strahan.  He leaves a legacy through his daughter Toyka Shawn Strahan, grandson Kayshawn Strahan, his mother Louise Strahan, sister Sandra, brothers Victor, Christopher and Michael Sr, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Gene Jr's memory will be a guiding star for all who knew them.
