Ira Morse was a father, husband, grandfather and the matriarch to the Morse-Allen family. He
was a dedicated member to the Local 450 Operators Union out of Dayton Texas where he
served for 65 years. Ira was a well traveled man, but he loved the gulf coast. He spent most of
his adult hood living around Galveston. Then he settled in Jefferson Texas in 1996. He still went
back and forth from Galveston and Jefferson for years because of his love for the union. He
loved to be on equipment, when he moved to Jefferson fully; he still did a lot of dirt work on his
property with a tractor. He will be missed by all of his family and friends where his memory will
be cherished forever.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date. There will be one in Jefferson TX and one
around Galveston Texas.
A memorial service for Mr Morse will held Saturday March 14, 2026 in Sante Fe, TX
