Lia La'Ney Merriweather, the last baby girl to De'Borah Beverly and Percy L. Bell was born June 2, 1990. Lia La'Ney Merriweather entered eternal life on March 12, 2025.
Lia was educated in the public schools of Virginia and received her diploma from Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, VA. After graduating, she continued to pursue her education at Bryant and Stratton College where she earned her bachelor's degree. Lia decided she wanted to explore more options in life and decided to join the Army in 2017. There was much needed to be proved while serving her country and she made sure to leave her mark. She worked her way to becoming Seargent before being honorably discharged in 2023. Leaving the Army was hard, but she continued to follow her dreams. She was pursuing her master's at the University of Houston in Healthcare Administration.
Those that knew Lia could say a lot about what she loved but those who truly understood her knew that EATING, DANCING, & KIDS were her passion. Lia also loved to travel, attend concerts, and take pictures. If you ever saw her, A PICTURE WAS COMING.
Lia La'Ney Merriweather met Rahmel Merriweather and quickly fell in love. The two became inseparable and decided to tie the knot in 2017. He was truly the love of her life, and they pushed each other to be better in every aspect of life. After marriage, they decided to settle down in Houston, TX where they made the decision to start a family. She was truly an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend to everyone.
Lia La'Ney Merriweather was preceded in death by Baby Laiden Alexander Merriweather.
