Obituary

Melissa Sheppard was born February 13, 1972 in Manhasset, New York, to George Robinson and Betty Campbell Elder both of whom preceded her in death.  She was the only child of her parents. Melissa graduated from Klein High School outside of Houston Texas.  She was an academic scholar and enjoyed running track.

Following High School Melissa continued her education at the University of Houston, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree of Science. She furthered her education by completing her Masters Degree in Psychology and was pursuing her Doctorate Degree.

Melissa worked for the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs for twenty plus years.  She has helped numerous veterans across the country to obtain their VA benefits.

Melissa rededicated her life to Christ in truth, after meeting her husband Robert who attended the Gathering of Christ Church in Dallas Texas.  She was baptized in two thousand sixteen under the GOCC Leadership in Houston, Texas. Melissa was active in the GOCC choir for five years, and participated on the praise and worship team.

Melissa leaves to cherish her memories her husband Robert Sheppard, two daughters Sade' Stewart and Faith Stewart- Salgado (Ivan), both of Houston, and son Judah Sheppard of Dallas, and five grandchildren Tralen Smith, Jordyn Stewart, Jordyn & Jori Sheppard, and Liam Salgado, and a host of other relatives and loved ones.
