Obituary

Minnie B. was born on September 19, 1944, to her proud parents, Iona and Reggie Burnett in Huntsville, Texas. Minnie was the fourth of five children born. She was affectionately known as "Cookie" by her family and loved ones.

Through self-perseverance, Minnie completed her education and graduated from Sam Houston High School. She met and married Ronald Turner. To this union one child was born; Cherard Turner.

Minnie was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor JW Ross, and then the present Pastor Dwayne Qualls. She was a member o the choir and she served on the Nurse's Board for many years.

Cookie worked as a secretary for Bennie Day Construction Company until her retirement. She later worked as a Home Health Care Provider. Minnie found joy in preparing down home cooking, especially on holidays. She enjoyed having a good and meaningful conversation with her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter-n-law; LaMarsha Turner, 3 Grands; Darrean, Tarrea and Cherad, 1 step granddaughter; Rashnique Reese. 3 Great Grands; Anthony Turner, Ye'Vonnie Turner, and Ye'Neice Turner, 1 sister; Ruthie Kinch, 1 brother; Reggie Burnett Jr, 1 aunt; Bobbie Jean Cooper. She also leaves a host of relatives, friends, and special friends: Louise Phillips, Frankie Scott, Mary Myrick.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Iona and Reggie Burnett Sr., one son; Cherad, two sisters; Jessie Mae and Marie Smith and one brother; Johnnie Burnett
