Obituary

Rose Ella Banks, was born March 26, 1953 to the late Henry Banks, Sr. and Dorothy Garrett Banks at Grimes Memorial Hospital in Navasota, Grimes County, Texas.

She received her formal education from Navasota ISD, graduating with the class of '71. She later attended Houston Community College in Houston, Texas.

Rose accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized at Greater New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. J.W. Whitfield. She served at her church on The Hope Walk!

Rose worked as a nanny for over 30 years until her health failed her.

On August 30, 2023, Rose made her transition from her earthly home to her eternal home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Banks, Sr. and Dorothy Garrett Banks; one sister Hope E. Banks, two brother, Walter R. Banks and Elton G. Banks; her son, Marco J. Banks; her sister-in-law, Jeanette Banks.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Stacy Hester (Quintin); seven brothers, Henry L. Banks, Jr, Robert E. Banks (Doris), Micheal W. Banks, Kevin D. Banks, Gary Banks (Diane), Brian M. Banks, and Eric Banks(Lavina); three granddaughters, Laujune Thomas (Josh), Tashyra Banks and RaQuel Wilson; one grandson ShaJavon Taylor, three great grandchildren Jaida Thomas, Kynleigh Taylor and Kamari Philio; one aunt, Flora Banks; her bonus daughter, Nikki Keith Sullivan (Matt); one bonus grand daughter Za'Riya Taylor, ; a special friend, Kenneth Sargent and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will truly miss her and cherish all the memories.
