Sonya JoAnne Yarbrough was born on December 20, 1967 to parents Lonnie B. Yarbrough & Annie Lee Watts- Yarbrough. She was the only girl born of 11 children to this union.

Proceeding her in death are her parents; the Late Mr. Lonnie B. Yarbrough & Mrs. Annie Lee Watts-Yarbrough. Siblings; Ray Charles Watts, Danny Ricardo Yarbrough, Kenneth Edward Yarbrough, James Lynn Yarbrough.
