Mr. Wardell Bookman, was born in Richards, TX to the late Stanley T. Bookman Sr and Edreen O'Neil Bookman on October 20,1962.
Wardell married his high school sweetheart Ms. Vickey Palmer on July 21,1999. They shared one child, Damien Palmer.
Wardell loved helping his mother with gardening, trail riding, spending time with his family and friends. He was one of the humblest men that you could ever come in contact with and one of the best BBQ Brisket cookers in the Brazos Valley. He loved helping others.
Wardell's was selected to go home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2022.He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley T. and Edreen Bookman, father in law; George Calhoun Sr, his brothers; Rufus, Ervin and Donald Bookman, and two granddaughters.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Vickey Bookman, son; Damien Palmer; daughter: Sequoia Foster(Larry); one sister; Emmy Bookman(Douglas), four brothers; Lenroy Bookman, Stanley T. Bookman Jr.(Evelyn), Freddie Bookman(Joyce), and Mikerel Bookman(Mae); mother in laws; Melissa Palmer and Dorothy Calhoun. four sister-in laws: Janie King, Earline Bookman, Charlene Palmer and Jacqueline Banks(Larry) one brother-in law; George (Jack) Calhoun Jr (Pamela), nine grandchildren, one god-daughter; Taffi Babcock-Gabriel and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will truly miss him and cherish all of the precious memories.
