Obituary

Wilhelmina Paul Dupaty Bean, age 99, of Houston, TX, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023.  She was born on April 6, 1924, in New Orleans, LA and resided in Houston, TX post Hurricane Katrina.  She was the beloved daughter of the late Emanuel Paul, Sr., and Virginia Brown.  A graduate of McDonogh #35 Senior High School, Wilhelmina attended and graduated from Flint Goodridge Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, LA.  Wilhelmina is survived by her daughter, Iris Dupaty Spells; three grandchildren, Rhonda Spells Brown (Donald, Jr., deceased), (New Braunfels, TX), Hahnah Dupaty and Briana Dupaty; one great granddaughter, Aria Grace DaSilva (Houston, TX), a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Paul A.M.E. Church (Houston, TX), Williams-Ross United Methodist Church and Philips Memorial United Methodist Church (New Orleans, LA); employees of St. Pius X High School, Hilton Hotels Corp., and CIBT-Visas (Houston, TX); and Goodwin Frazier Elementary School (New Braumfels, TX) are invited to attend services.

Visitation 10 AM and Funeral Service 11 AM, Saturday, November 18, 2023, at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 1554 Gears Rd., Houston, TX, Rev. Roderick Dawson, Officiating.  Interment, Rev. Dr. Barbara C. Gibson, Officiating, at Providence Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 8200 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA
